A systematic review is a summary of various types of controlled trials used for Evidence Based Practice (EBP). In basic terms, it researches common questions and reviews many studies versus simply one. These are a great approach for both beginning and wrapping up research. Systematic reviews are helpful for the novice in terms of learning about criteria, measures, and historical research on a topic. They also help dissertation level students make sure they have been exhaustive in their research.
